Thankfully Marie lived relatively close to him and they were able to meet up and soon they realised they were good for each other. Marie was willing to think ‘out of the box’ and had trusted God for the process she’d started with friends1st. She also knew that as she was willing to ‘roll up her sleeves and get stuck in’ the farming life would probably suit her. They are so happy to have met and married each other.
Trevor is a flower farmer from Lincolnshire. Both him and Anne were widowed. Despite very different backgrounds they shared a love of horticulture. Their first conversation lasted a long time and soon they were talking everyday. When they first met they were nervous but ‘took to each other like ducks to water’. Their friendship has turned to love and they know their relationship was meant to be. They are so glad that friends1st put them together.
Alfred has been a beef and sheep farmer since he was 16 and he’s been running his farm in Scotland for 20 years.
