Mark and Lorin

How a friends first event really could lead to marriage!

We were thrilled to learn that Mark who joined us in March last year had met Lorin at a friends first event. They married at the beginning of this year (2014) on Sunday 5th January truly finding the Christian love they were hoping to find.

Mark was living in London at the time and Lorin, originally from Zimbabwe, was living in Morden in Surrey.  It was quite interesting to us that Mark had been a very proactive member. He’d written to us on a number of occasions giving us advice and tips of what was working for him that other members might find useful although not attended a friends first event. He always seemed very interested in others and no doubt had a good strategy for communication with other members in a way that got a response. He came to our London friends first event in April last year (his first event) and it was there that he met Lorin (her second friends first event) and I guess the rest is history. When two people are meant for each other and are looking for Christian love then God always has a way!

They got engaged on 22nd October 2013 and were married in Harare, Zimbabwe. Many congratulations to them.
